LA COMEDY LIVE

LA Comedy LIVE has been responsible for bringing the biggest stars and the loudest laughs in Singapore and Hong Kong.

With a stellar record of presenting comedy heavyweights to the Singaporean audience, we have enjoyed tremendous success in all arenas.

Rob Schneider’s (The Hot Chick, Deuce Bigalow) first solo show in Singapore sold out at The Rock Auditorium in 2011. Russell Peters in 2012, became the fastest selling comedy show in Singapore selling 2 nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium - only to return in 2013 by popular demand and sell out the Indoor Stadium again. 2013 saw Chris Tucker (Rush Hour) selling out Kallang Theatre and Michael McIntyre (The UK’s Best Kept Secret) sold out the Star Theatre and in 2014, John Cleese of Monty Python fame sold out two nights at The University Cultural Centre at NUS.

LA Comedy Live has also successfully staged sold-out shows for Margaret Cho, Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran and also staged and promoted Lilly Singh, Bill Burr, and Steve-O from Jackass fame in Singapore.

In 2016, LA Comedy Live also became the first promoter to present American Reality show, Rupaul’s Drag Race Battle of The Seasons in Asia. Since then, bringing the colourful drag shows to Asia has been the company’s many other fortes. As of May 2019, LA Comedy Live has presented successful shows with Bianca Del Rio, Kim Chi, Naomi Smalls, Shangela (of The Star Is Born fame), Sasha Velour & more!

LA Comedy Live also frequently collaborates with its Australian partner, Adrian Bohm Presents  and successfully presented sold out shows with Dylan Moran, Michael Mcintyre, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Kevin Bridges in Singapore and Hong Kong.

As an advocate of diversity in the industry, LA Comedy Live has also expanded to bring in comedians from all over the world since 2017. Comedians include Kenny Sebastian, Zakir Khan, Kanan Gill, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Rohan Joshi from India as well.The company also went on to create the Asian International Comedy Festival in September  2017 with a line-up that included comedians from Manila, India, USA Tel Aviv & Singapore.

The company is on the constant lookout to bring in new talent into Asia!

2011

First to promote the popular TV Reality show, RuPaul’s Drag Race in Asia. Since then, more RDPR & Drag Shows followed.

2017

Created Asian International Comedy Festival — invited comedians from the USA, Israel, Manila, India & Singapore. Expanded into promoting Indian Comedians Kenny Sebastian, Zakir Khan, Kanan Gill, Atul Khatri & Kunal Kamra.

2018

New York Mag’s Most Powerful Drag Queen from RPDR, Bianca Del Rio, sold out multiple shows in Singapore, Hong Kong, & Manila.

2019

63rd Grammys Host & Emmy-winner Trevor Noah sold out two shows at The Star Theatre.

2020

Kunal Kamra sold out two shows at Nexus Auditorium.

2021

The Expat Comedy Show (24 Oct, 8pm), featuring 6 Expat Comedians, is the highest number of tickets issued for a single performance since COVID-19 restrictions kicked in in Singapore.
